Governor Strickland meets Reggie Evans, ArtWorks apprentice.
On January 11th, ArtWorks apprentices attended an event organized by Young Audiences to learn about Ohio State University. Dr. D’Andra Mull, Program Director in the Office of the Vice President for Student Life, and three OSU students came to Cleveland to tell the ArtWorks apprentices about campus life and potential scholarship opportunities. ArtWorks co-founder Deborah Ratner and OSU trustee Ron Ratner arranged a surprise visit with Governor Ted Strickland, who spoke with students about the strengths of the university and encouraged students to pursue higher education as a path to success in life.”
This event was a result of Dr. E. Gordon Gee’s visit to ArtWorks last summer. Dr. Gee, the President of OSU, spoke with ArtWorks apprentices about careers in the arts and success in higher education.
