A Party for the Arts!

Student Ava Arila presents Mayor Jackson with her artwork

On Monday night there was a fantastic Celebration for Arts Education at Cleveland City Hall.  About 200 students, family members, educators, politicians, and arts education supporters came out to see exciting performances and art exhibits presented by the children participating in Art is Education, a program of Young Audiences and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD).

Eight CMSD schools participate in Art is Education, a partnership of 30+ arts, cultural, philanthropic and educational institutions that provides students with standards-based arts experiences.

Congratulations to all the students, teachers, parents, and artists who made this a fabulous party!

I am so proud of the work Art is Education is doing. And what a wonderful event! Yes, the energy was truly high and happy that evening with a large turn out. It’s so good to see the good our kids do everyday.

    Thanks again
