Applications Now Available for Summer Jobs in the Arts

Are you looking for an amazing summer internship that is sure to bring you new job skills, new friends and the most creative experience in Cleveland?  Apply now for Young Audiences’ ArtWorks, a summer job training program in the arts.

For six weeks in the summer, ArtWorks apprentices create exciting original work in theater, dance, music, and visual arts. No prior arts experience is necessary, but applicants should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to learn new skills in a multicultural setting.

Anyone age 15 or older entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in fall 2011
may apply to be an ArtWorks apprentice. Spend your summer working alongside professional artists, listening to prominent community leaders and making friends from across Northeast Ohio, all while earning a paycheck! Free Grant Writing Workshops in February

Young Audiences is offering two grant writing workshops to help teachers, parents or others interested in learning how to get funding for arts programming. In this free, one-hour workshop, learn how foundations make awards, tips on how to plan a project and how to write it convincingly in a grant proposal.

Two dates and locations for your convenience:

Thursday, February 3rd, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Lee Road Library

Tuesday, February 15th, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Westlake Porter Public Library
